Over the years, the festival has added a number of non-traditional cultural spaces. Its open and dynamic architecture makes it a trans-territorial event, with venues in Santiago de Chile, Quito, Montevideo, Bogotá, Medellín, Asunción del Paraguay, Qosqo, Los Angeles, London, Córdoba, Quilmes, Resistencia and Rosario.
The Berlin venue joined for the first time in 2022 with more than twenty films from Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, South Korea, Ecuador, USA, France, Japan, Israel, Mexico and Pakistan.

HOME MOVIE DAY

HOME MOVIE DAY IS AN ANNUAL EVENT ORGANISED AND PRODUCED BY A GROUP OF PEOPLE PASSIONATE ABOUT AMATEUR FILMMAKING.

Home Movie Day was created in 2002 as a day for the annual celebration of amateur films with the intention of sharing them with their community while raising awareness about the importance of preserving them and learning more about how to care for them.

For the event, the public is invited to bring their original format home movies (16mm, 8mm, Super 8mm and 9.5mm), where they will be inspected and put in condition by a team of specialists to be screened during the afternoon while they will provide simple recommendations for their preservation.

Martin Scorsese said about the Home Movie Day: "Saving our film heritage should not be limited to commercially produced films. Home movies not only capture the important private moments of our family's life, but they are also historical and cultural documents".
